My husband and I enjoyed a much needed getaway to Galena this past Friday night. We welcomed Saturday morning, Christmas Eve day, with a nice breakfast and off we went to explore the shops in the historic downtown area. There was just the right amount of people bustling around town buying last minute gifts for their loved ones. I've always wanted to go to Galena during the Christmas season, and my husband made it possible. It was a sight to behold, with all the shops playing beautiful Christmas music and being decked out in lights, pine boughs and festive swags.
I purchased these "gloves" in one of the shops. I love the colors...turquoise, dark brown, gray and chartreuse green. They're actually mittens. The "mitten" part pulls off my fingers, folds down on the other side, and then buttons on the cuff and the tips of my fingers are then exposed. There's even a little "knitted thumb" that also pulls off and folds down. I call them my "camera mittens". I tire of taking my gloves off and on when shooting pictures, and these seem to be working out really well! I'll do anything to make my life simpler!
