Oh Christmas Tree...

This past Tuesday was such a pretty day. My sweet husband Brian requested a half day off so we could enjoy picking out our Christmas tree at the Red Barn outside of  town. Brian and I first had a nice lunch at a local restaurant called Steak 'n Shake. It's always fun to pick out your own tree. Pine is the quintessential scent of winter and Christmas, and the air was filled with its fragrance. Trees of all types and sizes were everywhere. We chose an 8 foot Frasier Pine. It'll fit perfectly in our living room!  We're doing the woodland/primitive theme this year instead of the red and gold bulb theme that we've done the past couple of years. So we're using a mixture of all the ornaments that I've had in the past and some new ones that we're starting to buy. It's fun to do something different and I love buying ornaments and Christmas things! The young gentleman helping us at the Red Barn was so nice and he helped us load the tree onto the truck. As we were leaving, he wished us a Merry CHRISTMAS...not Happy Holidays. I thanked him for that and wished him a Merry CHRISTMAS too!
