Charades

Brian and I have played charades for years. We’ll be talking about something and one or the other of us will say “oh you know, the thingy”. This morning was no different. We were sitting at the kitchen island and Holly was right there intently listening too. For the life of me I couldn’t think of the word “ramp”. I sat there making hand gestures to help Brian figure out what I was chattering about!

We’ve talked about replacing our old shed for a few years. So now we’re starting the process of buying a new one to place at the back of our property, right in front of the neighbor’s dog pen. I’m pretty excited about it because it doesn’t take much to get me excited 🤗 Anything new! I’m like a little kid at times. A guy is coming out Friday to quote how much it’d cost to put the pad down for the shed. Brian told me he could do it but I’m encouraging him to hire it done. Once we get that we’ll have to acquire a building permit and then order the shed!

Our old plastic shed has been sitting on the end of our 12x22 concrete patio forever so Brian will dismantle it and probably sell it. It’ll be nice to have the larger space on the patio and we may do something with that another time, Lord willing.

In my mind I can see the new shed being incorporated into our shade garden that’s right beside it. On the right are three of our pine trees. Below are three photos: the area the shed will sit and two inspirational photos. Our utility shed won’t be as elaborate as these two, but you get the idea. We’re going to hang an old window frame on the side with a flower box underneath. I can picture all kinds of old galvanized buckets, a bench and the like sitting around it with plants such as zinnias and impatiens 🌺 I’ll gather pine 🌲 boughs and pinecones that have fallen to place in the flower box over the winter. My imagination is running rampant!
