Episode 7—02/28/2024

🐱 Hi to all my admirers. Hope this finds you well and staying cozy warm. Though this morning is sunny, it’s a cold 24°—oh that wind! If I was an outdoor kitty I would have been blown two counties away!

🐱 Ma has been voicing her concern to Pa since I haven’t slept with her the last three nights. I didn’t even get on her lap last night. About all I did yesterday was sleep. I did eat breakfast and supper pretty good and even performed my morning patrol duties to the north. I chattered at two mourning doves strolling together in the yard, but they completely ignored me so they didn’t see my stern looks. Oliver had to take over my afternoon patrol duties to the south since I was sleeping.

🐱 During breakfast yesterday I was observing Pa help Ma with a new thumb exercise. It involves something called a rubber band. It completely mesmerized me. I guess the resistance helps strengthen her thumbs. After they were done Pa was sitting there playing with the rubber band. I thought I’d get in on the action and try to strengthen my jaw muscles. It was futile since it didn’t taste very good! 

🐱 This morning, at the ridiculous hour of 6:00, Ma was up doing her usual routine. She came over to where I was on the green afghan and plopped down on the ottoman. I profusely purred as she gave me numerous cuddles and kisses. When she stood up I followed her into the bedroom and I laid down with her. Ma was ecstatic! We cuddled a lot for an hour. Then I was alerted to an unknown noise so I had to do my duty to check it out. 

🐱It’s a fluffy sock kind of day so warm up with some hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows and eat a couple warm chocolate chip cookies. More about me later…love, Holly
