What on earth is a blog? written September 11, 2011

Well it's 5 a.m. and I've been reading on Facebook since 2:30. I recently started reading blogs. Now let me tell you...I didn't even know what a "blog" was until recently...leading the simple life that I do and the life that I prefer and enjoy to live...living with no smart phones (mine is just a phone), texting, ipads, kindles (I like the feel and smell of a real book in my hands). I don't even have a dishwasher or a garbage disposal. One can literally get lost reading blogs...you go from one site to another by reading one person's blogs to their favorite blogs and then you forget where you started from.

It all started with my friend Meg, when she suggested that I become friends with one of her friends, Daryl, who lives in Maine, since we're vacationing in New England next month. I started reading her blogs and I enjoyed them so much that I pretty much got addicted. One really gets absorbed. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it when I say I'm getting nothing accomplished, such as cleaning...I'm reading blogs! I'm thinking about writing some blogs myself, but I know I'd get lost...

Well, I have made the decision to blog! I'm not much of a writer, but I have things on my heart that I want to share...thoughts, a little bit of wisdom, quotes, useless information, primitive decorating, cooking, photos, blessings, dreams...whatever else that comes to my mind or my heart...
