Phone calls.....

I always have enjoyed getting phone calls. Now when I hear the sound of it ringing, it feels as if my heart is pounding harder and will jump out of my chest, and it starts beating a little faster. I used to feel that way when my sweet husband called when he and I were dating, which was a good feeling then. But now it's a different type of feeling...a feeling of dread...when I hear it. I hear it ring and just stare at the phone and purse my lips.....I anxiously answer it and hold my breath until I know things are alright. My first thought now is always my Mom. I never want to receive that phone call, though I know it is inevitable.
