"Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for every dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn't carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life."~~~Stephen King

Questions and more questions

When you wake up thinking of someone who has questions and knowing the Holy Spirit is speaking to you, even when it’s 4:30 in the morning, you get up and obey. I know God put her on my heart. These are the questions she is asking: “But why do we need to be saved? Why did we come to earth and then sin and everything went bad? What about people and other countries who never hear the gospel and die. What if they are in a different religion and yet they love God just as much. They aren't lost, they're loved. There are just so many questions and things to ponder that don't add up. Can you remind me of what verses that Jesus says that we must believe in Him or we will go to eternal damnation?”

God is love but He is also a righteous and a just God. His Son Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He bore all our sins—past, present and future. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb—the propitiation of the world’s sins. “But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”~1 Peter 1:9.

“He [Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.”~1 John 2:2

”Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”~Acts 4:12

Rejecting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is not just a small mistake or a bad choice. It means complete separation from God for all of eternity in hell. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”~Romans 6:23

“These [those who do not accept Jesus as Savior] shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,”~2 Thessalonians 1:9

“And these [those who do not accept Jesus as Savior] will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”~Matthew 25:46

God gave us free will. The Garden of Eden was created for us, His creation, to live in forever. Satan temped Eve in the garden and told her she would not die if she ate of the fruit. God said in Genesis 2:17: “but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” God did not mean for her and Adam to physically die when they ate of the fruit. She chose to eat of that fruit. She was tempted and listened to Satan and was disobedient to God and therefore sinned. So they were banned from the Garden and sin, sickness and death entered the world.

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned”~Romans 5:12

Concerning your question about people and other countries who never hear the gospel. From what I understand everyone everywhere will hear the Gospel. God does not want anyone to not be saved. That’s His desire that everyone comes to Him. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”~2 Peter 3:9

“And He [Jesus] said to them [disciples], “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”~Mark 16:15-16

I hope and pray this helps answer her questions.
