HOLLY’S CAT LETTER
EPISODE 19—03/15/2024
🐱 Hi to all my admirers. Another lovely sunny day to soak up sunbeams. Even though my favorite thing is being very near to Ma, basking in warm sunbeams are my second favorite. I have no idea what my brother Oliver’s favorites are. He is one strange beast. I think his favorites could be agitating me, and causing havoc by bouncing off the walls and whooping and hollering. I just wish he’d grow up! He’s 11 years old for cat’s sake!
🐱 My friend Minnie Mae told me she sees a cat hanging around her domain at times. I used to see stray ones around mine. I don’t want to see them around but I hate to think what might have happened to them. Perhaps all my stern looks finally worked and they stay away?? When I used to see them my tail would get all fluffed up really, really big. But seriously, Ma has no idea what Oliver and I see outside after dark. She’s at the other end of the house with that annoying noise machine on! Now and again I stealthily sneak out of her bed and do some patrolling. I see all kinds of vile wild beasts: deer, raccoons, owls, hawks, opossums, coyotes and foxes. Only the raccoons have the audacity to come up close to the house—they completely ignore my stern looks!
🐱 My flat out all-time favorite catnip mouse recently went missing. Pa found it last night—of all places, in one of my toy baskets! This mouse must really have some super duper powerful nip in it. Ma brought it home last October and it still puts zippity in my doo dah! I was so happily high from inhaling big sniffs of that nip I zonked out on Ma’s lap and snored away.
🐱 Just now I was stretching on Ma’s lap and noticed Oliver patrolling the south side of the domain. Amazing feat!! I wish you all a lovely day. The weekend will be starting soon so for tonight’s festivities, order an extra large supreme pizza with a liter of frothy root beer. More about me later…love, Holly
