HOLLY’S CAT LETTER

EPISODE 14—03/08/2024

🐱 Hi to all my admirers. What a dark dreary rainy day. I could have slept all day and I did. I had one spurt of energy and slid on a throw rug but decided to rest on the sofa with Ma. She was wide awake until at least 4 a.m. and we cuddled up so close and gave kisses the whole time. Ma is so appreciative that I share my pillow and blankets with her.

🐱 You all may think this is strange. I think it’s strange. But Ma set all the clocks ahead last night, which was Thursday. She was informing Pa how the time change always adversely affects her. He agreed with her suggestion to set the clocks up early, so in doing so, it’s a show of his affection—and it will be a jump start to hopefully help her with the transition. I absolutely love this profound idea since I get fed an hour early!!

🐱 Earlier today Oliver and I enjoyed spending time with Ma while she was doing her devotions. She wanted to nod off so bad but she kept on listening to Pastor Jack. I tried to stay alert but for the nine lives of me, I could not stay awake. I adore being near Ma but it’s also all about defeating the despicable efforts of any intruders invading my domain. It’s one of the reasons I sleep with Ma—to keep her out of harm’s way.

🐱 I had quite a lot to get done today but I digress—I did nothing. It was a good-for-nothing lazy day. The only excitement was the UPS truck delivering a package for Pa’s upcoming birthday. Ma was ecstatic that Pa was in the basement so she could hide it in the bedroom closet.

🐱 I am way behind with today’s patrol duties. If any vile beast wants to get near my domain in this inclement weather, so be it. I’ll save my stern looks for later.

🐱 I hope you all have a cozy fluffy fleece throw night. Enjoy a mug—or two—of creamy hot chocolate loaded with marshmallows. Pa is going to start a warm fire after supper. More about me later…love, Holly
